Dorio

Dorio is Maine's partner and a trusted member of the crew, serving as a steady presence amid its volatile jobs. She is capable in a fight and attentive to the people around her, especially as Maine's behavior becomes less predictable. Her loyalty to him is strong, but she also understands the danger his deteriorating condition poses to everyone.

Dorio is a tall, strongly built woman with short, light-colored hair and a composed, watchful expression. Her sturdy frame and visible cybernetic enhancements suit the physical demands of mercenary work. She wears practical clothing that allows her to move freely, with a dark outfit and contrasting jacket details in her crew scenes. Her design emphasizes strength without making her appearance as imposing as Maine's, and her calm presence often contrasts with the crew's more impulsive personalities.

Dorio is steady, observant, and grounded in the realities of the crew's work. She is close to Maine and shows care for him through direct attention to his condition, not through grand displays. Her judgment is practical, and she can recognize when a situation is deteriorating even when others are focused on the job. She is capable in a fight but is not portrayed as eager for needless conflict. Within the crew, Dorio offers a stabilizing presence, balancing Maine's commanding temperament and the more impulsive energy of the younger mercenaries.

Before David joins the crew, Dorio is already an established member of Maine's edgerunner team and his closest partner. The anime shows her participating in mercenary work and supporting the crew's operations, but it does not explain her origins, earlier career, or how she first met Maine. Her experience is evident in her calm approach to dangerous situations and her familiarity with the team's routines. Her personal history is otherwise left open, with the story focusing on her role in the crew and her bond with Maine.

1. Meeting David

Dorio is among the crew members David encounters after Maine brings him into their orbit. She observes the newcomer as he adjusts to the group's work and helps establish the crew as more than a collection of hired guns. Her measured presence contrasts with the rougher exchanges around her and signals that she is a trusted, experienced member.

2. Crew operations

Dorio takes part in the crew's mercenary jobs and functions as a capable combatant. She also remains attentive to the people around her, especially Maine, as the team's work becomes more dangerous. Her contributions are less about directing the crew than about reliable support and sound awareness during tense situations.

3. Maine's crisis

As Maine's behavior becomes increasingly unstable, Dorio tries to respond to the danger while remaining at his side. Her loyalty and concern place her in the center of the crew's crisis. The events surrounding Maine's final operation make Dorio's fate a defining loss for the group and a lasting influence on David.

Maine

Partner and fellow crew member

Dorio is Maine's closest partner and supports him both during jobs and in private moments. She is familiar with his strengths and increasingly concerned about his condition. Their mutual trust makes her efforts to stay with him during the crisis especially significant.

David Martinez

New crew member

Dorio meets David after Maine brings him into the crew. She does not take on the same direct mentorship role as Maine, but she is part of the group that helps David learn its routines and face the risks of edgerunner life.

Rebecca

Fellow crew member

Dorio and Rebecca work together as part of Maine's crew. Their shared professional setting gives them a familiar, companionable connection, though the series does not develop their relationship in detail beyond their place in the same team.

Pilar

Fellow crew member

Pilar and Dorio are members of the same mercenary crew and take part in its operations. The anime shows them in the group's informal dynamic but provides little individual history between them outside their shared work.

Kiwi

Fellow crew member

Kiwi contributes netrunning support to the team Dorio works with. Their relationship is presented primarily through their shared membership and jobs, with no separate personal history established in the series.
