A loud, good-natured student obsessed with the idea of manliness, who judges everything by whether it is sufficiently brave. His skin hardens into jagged rock-like armour, making him a natural front-line brawler with more endurance than finesse. Quick to praise others and slow to hold grudges, he becomes one of the first classmates to reach past Bakugo's hostility and treat him as a peer.

Broad-shouldered and visibly muscular for a first-year, Kirishima keeps his bright red hair spiked upward in stiff points. He has narrow red eyes, a small scar over his right eye, and a wide grin full of unusually sharp teeth. His U.A. uniform is worn loosely with the collar open, and his hero costume is deliberately minimal: a sleeveless top that exposes his chest, baggy black trousers, heavy boots and an eye-catching gear headpiece, chosen so nothing interferes with the jagged stone-like texture his skin takes on when hardened.

Loud, cheerful and relentlessly enthusiastic, Kirishima is the easiest person in Class 1-A to befriend. He values what he calls manliness above almost anything, meaning courage, loyalty, and standing your ground rather than machismo for its own sake, and he openly admires anyone who fights without backing down. He is quick to compliment others, slow to take offence, and genuinely happy when classmates outperform him. That good nature hides real insecurity about whether his own straightforward Quirk is flashy or strong enough to matter. In a crisis his instinct is to charge forward with someone he trusts at his side rather than wait to be rescued.

Kirishima grew up an ordinary boy with a Quirk that hardens his skin, a power he long considered plain and unimpressive next to the spectacular abilities around him. Hero fandom and a fierce admiration for tough, unflinching professionals shaped his sense of what a hero should be, and the ideal of never retreating became the core of his personal code. Determined to build the body a hero would need, he trained hard enough to pack on serious muscle before entering high school. 3. Battle Trial

   Kirishima competes in All Might's indoor hero-versus-villain exercise and watches the other matches from the monitor room, reacting loudly to the more destructive performances. His commentary highlights how impressed he is by his classmates' firepower and how much he wants to measure up.

4. U.S.J. Attack

   Sent by the warp gate into the ruins zone with Bakugo, Kirishima refuses to hide and tears through the villains alongside him. The pair then ambush Kurogiri and pin his misty body long enough to block the League's escape route, a display of nerve that impresses even Bakugo.
