Nomu

A hulking, mindless creature brought to the training facility for one purpose: to kill the Symbol of Peace. Its exposed brain and stitched body are the product of deliberate engineering, with several Quirks forced into a single frame so it can absorb punishment that would destroy anyone else. It speaks only in broken syllables and obeys its handler without hesitation, making it a weapon rather than a villain.

A towering humanoid with sooty blue-black skin stretched over grotesquely overdeveloped muscle. The top of its skull is missing, leaving a glistening pink brain exposed above a hairless brow, and its face narrows into a hard beak-like jaw lined with blunt teeth. Its eyes are lidless, pupil-less white slits that never blink or track emotion. Heavy seams and joins run across the shoulders, arms and torso, hinting that the body was assembled from more than one source. It wears only simple dark trousers, leaving the bulk of its patchwork frame bare.

Nomu is less a character than an instrument. It shows no fear, no anger and no self-preservation instinct, standing perfectly inert until given an order, then executing that order with unvarying single-mindedness. It does not speak, communicating only in low grunts and rasping breaths, and it never reacts to pain, mutilation or the loss of limbs. Instructions from its handlers are followed literally and without hesitation, whether that means seizing a target, restraining a hero or absorbing punishment indefinitely. What remains of its mind appears entirely rewritten for obedience, and nothing in its behaviour suggests curiosity, cruelty or pleasure. It is frightening precisely because it is empty, a body engineered to serve someone else's intention.

Nomu is not born but manufactured. A human body was harvested and surgically remade, its physiology reinforced and multiple Quirks grafted into it, a procedure well beyond anything mainstream society believes possible. The brain was altered to strip away will and leave only compliance, which is why the creature can shrug off injuries that would break any ordinary fighter. Built and supplied by a shadowy benefactor who backs the League of Villains from behind the scenes, it was handed to Tomura Shigaraki as a purpose-made trump card, tuned specifically to withstand and kill the Symbol of Peace. Before the League's assault it had no history of its own, no name and no recorded existence in the hero world's files.

1. Unforeseen Simulation Joint - The Attack Begins

   Nomu arrives through Kurogiri's warp gate alongside Shigaraki and a small army of villains, looming silently at the front of the group. Shigaraki presents it as the League's answer to All Might, and its unnatural, brain-exposed silhouette immediately signals to Class 1-A's teacher that this is not an ordinary criminal incursion.

2. Unforeseen Simulation Joint - Eraser Head's Defeat

   When Shota Aizawa cuts through the rank-and-file villains, Nomu is set loose on him. It shrugs off his Quirk-erasing gaze, breaks his arm against the ground and pins him with casual strength, leaving the teacher bloodied and helpless while the students watch from cover, unable to intervene.

3. Unforeseen Simulation Joint - Clash with All Might

   All Might arrives and rescues Aizawa, only to find that his heaviest blows barely register. Nomu locks him in a crushing hold, tears at his old injury and forces him to burn through his remaining time. The fight becomes a brutal test of endurance rather than a contest of technique.

4. Unforeseen Simulation Joint - Aftermath

   With help from his students breaking Kurogiri's grip, All Might resolves to overload the creature rather than out-hit it, hammering it with repeated strikes until its absorption limit is exceeded and it is launched away. Its defeat shatters Shigaraki's plan, and Pro Heroes arriving on the scene take the ruined body into custody.

5. Aftermath and Investigation

   In the closing episodes the incident is treated as a national alarm. Investigators note that Nomu carried more than one Quirk, an impossibility under current understanding, and the question of who could build such a thing hangs over the school, foreshadowing a far larger enemy behind the League.

Shigaraki directs Nomu with short verbal commands and treats it as his personal guarantee of victory. His confidence collapses when the weapon he was given proves beatable, exposing how much of his plan rested on borrowed power.

Kurogiri

Kurogiri ferries Nomu into the facility by warp gate and coordinates with it during the ambush, at one point attempting to teleport a restrained All Might away while the creature holds him fast.

Intended target

Nomu was engineered specifically to endure and kill the Symbol of Peace. Their clash forces All Might to fight at his limit for the first time on screen and reveals how fragile his public invincibility really is.

Aizawa's erasure Quirk is useless against a creature whose abilities are physiological grafts, and Nomu breaks him in seconds. The defeat establishes the gulf between ordinary Pro Hero skill and manufactured monsters.

Someone with the means to implant multiple Quirks and rewrite a human brain assembled Nomu and loaned it to the League. That figure remains offscreen in this season, but the creature's existence is the first hard evidence of him.
