Himawari Uzumaki

Boruto's cheerful younger sister, Himawari inherits Hinata's warmth and, alarmingly, a temper that can flatten even the Hokage. For most of the series she is the ordinary heart of the Uzumaki household, uninterested in the ninja path. The later Two Blue Vortex storyline pulls her toward it regardless, as grief awakens dormant power and a connection to the fox spirit that once lived within her father.

Himawari is a small, round-faced girl who resembles her mother closely, with dark indigo hair cut short and straight across her brow and two longer strands framing her face. Her large eyes are a clear blue inherited from her father, and she shares his three faint whisker markings on each cheek, which soften into dimples when she smiles. She dresses in simple, bright children's clothes, often a light top with a skirt or a short dress, and is frequently shown carrying flowers, lunch boxes or something she has just made. Her expression is almost always cheerful, and her rare anger is unmistakable.

Himawari is sunny, affectionate and startlingly perceptive for her age. She notices when people are hiding pain, including her father and her brother, and offers comfort without making a fuss about it. She adores her family unconditionally, keeps the house running with small domestic chores, and welcomes strangers with a directness that disarms even hardened people. Beneath the sweetness runs the Hyuga steel: when she is genuinely provoked she becomes frighteningly calm and forceful, and the adults around her, her father included, back down instantly. She is also stubborn about fairness, unafraid to lecture her much older brother, and quietly ambitious about being useful rather than protected.

Himawari was born in Konohagakure to Naruto and Hinata Uzumaki several years after the Fourth Great Ninja War, the younger of their two children. She grew up in peacetime, in a home where her father's duties as Hokage kept him constantly absent and her mother held the family together. As a small child she awakened the Byakugan spontaneously during a squabble with Boruto over a stuffed toy, and struck her father unconscious with an untrained Gentle Fist blow, an incident that became family legend and made Naruto wary of upsetting her. Unlike her brother she carries no resentment toward her father's job, choosing instead to celebrate the moments he does come home.

1. Academy era and daily life in Konoha

   Himawari appears throughout the early episodes as the emotional anchor of the Uzumaki household, seeing Boruto off, defending their mother's feelings, and reminding her brother that their father's absence is not the whole story. Her cheerfulness contrasts with Boruto's resentment and highlights the cost of Naruto's office.

2. Parent and child day

   When Naruto finally takes a day off to spend with his daughter, the outing turns into a comedy of shadow clones, interruptions and village emergencies. Himawari's patience and delight in ordinary things make the episodes a portrait of what the Hokage sacrifices, and she treasures the day regardless of how imperfectly it goes.

3. Chunin Exams and village celebrations

   She attends her brother's matches and the village's festivals as a spectator, cheering loudly and providing a civilian viewpoint on shinobi spectacle. Her pride in Boruto persists even when he disappoints the crowd, and her reaction weighs on him more heavily than official censure.

4. Kawaki's arrival

   When a hostile, abused boy is placed in the Uzumaki home, Himawari treats him as family from the first day, sharing meals and small kindnesses without prying into his past. Her insistence on normal domestic warmth does more to soften Kawaki than any adult's supervision, and the two form a genuine sibling-like bond.

She adores her father and forgives his absences readily, treating every shared moment as a gift. He, in turn, is openly terrified of making her angry after the childhood incident that knocked him unconscious.

Hinata Uzumaki

Mother

Himawari is her mother's near-copy in looks and gentleness, and the two share the running of the household. Hinata quietly recognises the Hyuga potential in her daughter's rare flashes of temper.

Older brother

She idolises Boruto while refusing to indulge his sulking, scolding him when he is unfair to their parents. He is fiercely protective of her and visibly gentler in her presence than anywhere else.

Kawaki

Adoptive brother figure

Her unconditional acceptance gives Kawaki his first experience of ordinary family warmth, and he becomes protective of her in return, treating her kindness as something worth defending.
